Suitable patient

Determine if you are a suitable candidate for the operation
	During the first visit we evaluate, if you are eligible for the procedure. Also before the initial examination it’s important to know the criteria of the selection. Eligible for treatment are the following patients: Who are at least 18 years old. Best age to get laser treatment is between 20 and 40 years Who have stable refractive error (this means less than 0,5 diopter change during the last year). Whose refractive error is between -1 and -8 diopter (gives best results) Who has healthy eyes Whose general health is good Who is a positive person :)
Certain conditions make your suitability for the operation questionable or could present additional risks or complications. These conditions might interfere with the healing process and might require additional treatment. If you had any of the following problems, we recommend you to discuss it with your optometrist or surgeon. These conditions include: Pregnancy or breast feeding; significant keratoconus, cataract or glaucoma aka risen intraocular pressure aka green cataract, herpes infection in the eye (these conditions must be consulted with a surgeon); Certain drug prescriptions, like orally administrated steroids; Conditions like diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis or systemic lupus erythematosus (consult with  a surgeon is needed); It should be taken into account that not all the possible complications are listed here. That’s why before approving the operation thorough testing should be done, which gives final assessment of the suitability.
